Inside Sales Manager
The Inside Sales Manager will be responsible for soliciting, developing, and closing new accounts through cold calling, analyzing customer needs and interests, and building and maintaining long-standing customer relationships. The inside sales manager must feel comfortable conversing with scientists about their work, and be able to explain Rational Genomics' software to people who have a wide range of technical and scientific backgrounds. He or she will achieve or exceed sales objectives through the promotion of Rational Genomics' products in assigned territories. This individual will also be responsible for supervising and setting goals for the inside sales team.
Experience/Education:
Life sciences background with at least four years in direct sales. Experience generating and closing sales via the telephone is preferred. Strong communication skills. Supervisory experience is also helpful.
Technical Requirements: High level of comfort with both biology and computers.
Software Developer
Job Responsibilities:
Developing Java applications for managing and analyzing scientific data. Tuning our schemas and database access routines to optimize performance. Administering our internal Oracle databases (used for development and QA). Working with customers to help them install and configure Oracle databases for use with our software. Minimum Qualifications:
4 years programming experience (not including classroom experience)
1 years Oracle DBA experience or the equivalent.
Exceptional coding skills, and a strong knowledge of algorithm design and analysis.
